Latvijas vēstniecība Somijā un Helsinki Design Week ielūdz uz Dizaina Diplomātijas sarīkojumu vēstniecībā šī gada 9. septembrī pulksten 17.00-19.00 Armfeltintie 10. Helsinkos.
Latvijas vēstniecība Somijā jau ceturto gadu piedalās Helsinku Dizaina Diplomātijas pasākumā, kura laikā interesentiem ir iespēja apmeklēt vairākas vēstniecības Helsinkos, lai klausītos un piedalītos diskusijās par dizainu un arhitektūru.
Šogad Latvijas vēstniecībā diskusijā par arhitektūru un dizainu piedalīsies Ilze Kundziņa un Satu Mietinena (Satu Miettinen).
Satu Miettinen ir Lapzemes universitātes Mākslas un Dizaina fakultātes dekāne (kopš 2018. gada) un servisa dizaina profesore (kopš 2016. gada). Satu bijusi arī lietišķās mākslas un dizaina profesore laikā no 2011. līdz 2016. gadam. Viņa ir viena no pirmajām akadēmisko studiju vadītājām servisa dizaina jomā un aktīvi attīstījusi servisa dizaina mācības un pētniecību Somijā.
Ilze Kundziņa beigusi studijas Aalto universitātē un ir dizainere, stratēģiskā dizaina pētniece un servisa dizaina entuziaste. Kā jau Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijas pasniedzējai, viņas vaļasprieks ir servisa dizaina diskusiju, sprintu un darbnīcu organizēšana. Ilze ir pildījusi kuratores pienākumus Kuldīgas radošajā mākslas vasaras skolā. Vadot vienoto starptautisko maģistra programmu "Servisa dizaina stratēģija un inovācija", viņas atbildībā ir programmas īstenošana un saziņa programmas īstenotāju, fakultāšu, programmas partneru un industriju starpā, kā arī atbalsta sniegšana studējošajiem.

Design Diplomacy event at the Embassy residence of Latvia on Friday 9 September at 17-19, Armfeltintie 10. Welcome!
This year we are happy to houst tw design professionals: Ilze Kundziņa (LV) and Satu Miettinen.
Satu Miettinen is Dean of the Art and Design faculty (2018–) and Professor of Service Design (2016–) at the University of Lapland. She has also worked as a Professor of Applied Art and Design during the years 2011–2016. She holds one of the first academic chairs in service design and has actively developed service design teaching and research in Finland. Her lectures and research projects focus on service design, applied art and design, user-centric design and arts.
Ilze Kundziņa graduated from Aalto University and is a designer, strategic design thinker, researcher and service design enthusiast. In addition to teaching at the Art Academy of Latvia, she enjoys organising service design jams, sprints, and workshops, and curating and facilitating the Kuldīga Creative SummerSchool. As the director of the joint international master's programme in Service Design Strategies and Innovations, SDSI, she is responsible for all aspects of the programme's delivery - serving as the primary liaison between staff, faculty, programme partners, and industry; serving as the point of contact for student advising on academic matters and orientation during the programme in Latvia; and providing the time and resources necessary to ensure the smooth operation and overall academic quality of the programme.

About Design Diplomacy
A series of discussions enter ambassadors’ residences that only a few of us have been allowed to see. Each night, one design professional from the hosting country meets a Finnish designer in a new card game. Playful, intelligent questions challenge both the speakers and the audience. In addition to discussions that last for about half an hour, you will learn interesting details about unique residencies and their architecture over a glass of wine. How many ambassadors have lived in the apartment? How does the place reflect its history and use? You can read more about the event here.
