In accordance with the Law on Consular Assistance and Consular Services, the Embassy of Latvia in Norway provides consular services to individuals who have declared their place of residence in Norway/Iceland in the Register of Natural Persons of Latvia. The Embassy provides the following in-person services:
- Applying for a new Latvian passport and/or eID card
- Renewing PIN/PUK codes for an existing eID card
- Applying for a foreigner’s eID card
In-person services are available by prior appointment only, through the electronic appointment management system: https://pieraksts.mfa.gov.lv/en/norway.
It is not possible to book an appointment via e-mail or telephone.
New appointments are added every week, four weeks ahead.
Consular services provided remotely:
- Certificates form the Latvian Register of Natural Persons (regarding family status, passport data, address, etc.)
- Certificate from the Punishment Register
- Re-issuance of birth certificates, marriage certificates and death certificates (in Latvian only)
- Certificates from Latvia's birth, marriage and death registers

The Embassy is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and during the official holidays of the Republic of Latvia.
