Major global products include Pampers diapers, Tide and Ariel detergents, Gillette shaving products, Pringles potato crisps, Crest toothpaste, Vicks health products, Always and Tampax feminine products, Olay beauty products and Pantene shampoos.

Associate General Counsel-Global Baby, Feminine and Family Care Product Groups 1998-Present

Report to Presidents of Global Baby, Feminine and Family Care Product Groups and responsible for the legal affairs of this $16 billion global business. Approximately 25,000 employees and 19 major manufacturing locations in 15 countries. Legal organization globally consists of 14 legal professionals in 8 countries.

Associate General Counsel-North America Paper Products & Environmental Law 1995-1997

Report to General Counsel of Company and responsible for the legal affairs of North American paper business, a $5 billion sales enterprise with principal products such as Pampers, Luvs, Bounty, Charmin, Always, Tampax and Puffs. Also responsible for Environmental Law Group. Legal organization of 7 professionals.

Associate General Counsel-Environmental Law 1992-1995

Report to General Counsel-North America and responsible for the environmental law matters affecting 45 plants and 40,000 employees. Work involved 60+ Superfund cases, various permitting and compliance issues, counsel and auditing of compliance, and negotiation, drafting and completion of acquisitions and divestitures. Professional staff of 4 lawyers.

Division Counsel-U.S. Beverage and Commercial Products Divisions 1986-1991

Report to General Counsel-North America and responsible for all the legal affairs of this $2 billion business. Principal products include Folgers and High Point coffees, Sunny Delight and Citrus Hill beverages, and various commercial applications of Crisco, Tide, Spic and Span, and other institutional products. Professional staff of two.

Senior Counsel-Employment Law and Trade Relations 1981-1985

Report to Division Counsel and responsible for various labor, employment, and discrimination matters affecting U.S. locations. Specific duties included representation and advice in organizational avoidance proceedings, arbitrations, administration of labor contracts, various administrative and judicial court proceedings, and personnel counsel to managers at U.S. locations.

Assistant Brand Manager -Brand Management Training 1979-1980

Temporary 15-month cross-training assignment on Dash and Cascade Brand Management Teams. Purpose was to learn, experience and be trained on P&G’s world-famous Marketing program. Reported to two separate Brand Managers and included 1-month sales training in field. Responsible for 1980 Dash Retail Merchandising program, 1980 Cascade media and promotion programs, and Cascade’s 1981 budget review and plan.

Counsel-Employment Law 1975-1978

Report to Division Counsel and responsible for labor, discrimination, occupational safety and workers’ compensation matters.

Counsel-Product Liability and Commercial Law 1973-1975

Report to Division Counsel and responsible for over 100 product liability suits and 500 claims involving allegations of liability against P&G products. Also, counseled, drafted and negotiated various raw material supply contracts to facilitate continued supply and operation of P&G’s product manufacturing plants.
